This is a real man's barbershop, what a barbershop is supposed to be. From the stripped pole outside to the taffies they give my young boys after a haircut, Sulimays reminds me of what it was like to go to the barbershop with my own father when I was a kid. Joe, BIlly, and Mark are all very personable and ready to talk about any topic from sports to current events, and when you sit down in Joe Sulimay's chair it is like going to see a psychiatrist, or a bartender...you can't help but open up to the guy, he has a way about him that makes him so easy to talk to! I moved out of the old neighborhood several years ago, but I still make the trek down to Sulimay's from the Northeast every couple of weeks, I won't go anywhere else. And I am proud to take my 2 boys to Sulimay's, like my father did for me, continuing the tradition of the great American barbershop.
